THE LATEST EPL NEWS – Norwich City played past through rival side Arsenal last Saturday, gaining their first league win of the season as they went shopping for a goal through Grant Holt’s successful shot, ending the game 0-1 in favour of the Carrow Road hosts.
Arsenal keeper Vito Mannone failed to thwart the ball out of the net. He blocked Alexander Tettey’s attempt but Holt’s rebound, confronted by a weak challenge from Per Mertesacker, took the Canaries on top of the game.
Lukas Podolski, Olivier Giroud, Gervinho and Mikel Arteta all had chances that went wide. Despite dominating ball possession, Arsenal lacked a threatening stance that caused them to lose at Carrow Road for the first time since 1984.
