THE LATEST UEFA ENGLISH PREMIER
LEAGUE NEWS – Former Chelsea manager Ruud Gullit said that the Champions League
winners must go after Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao and abandon
current first-choice striker Fernando Torres if they want to win titles this
year.
Gullit is critical of Torres’ low
goals-to-game ratio in Chelsea, as he noted that the striker once had a more
prolific showing when he was still in Atletico Madrid and Liverpool. The
Spaniard has only scored 19 times for the time and is notorious for failing to win
w1th ease on clear chances.
Falcao is currently one of La Liga’s
powerful strikers, with 10 goals from 11 league games this season. Apart from
Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester City are vying to sign the striker in
January.
