Virgin Racing, Lotus Renault GP and Team Lotus have all confirmed plans to change their names for the 2012 Formula One season.
The Russian-owned Virgin Racing team made its debut in Formula One in 2010 and wants to change its name to Marussia, after the Russian sports-car maker that sponsors the team.
Richard Branson's Virgin will continue to operate as a team sponsor but the team formally applied to the Formula One Commission regarding the name change.
A meeting of Formula One bosses have given the green light for the change, while it also approved a request from Lotus Renault GP to change their name simply to Lotus in 2012
Meanwhile, Team Lotus will go under the name of Caterhams from next season.
